Developing the Process

This week is an extension of Project one.

You will take the presented project that was submitted in Week 1 and develop the processes for your project.

Use the five processes that we discussed in the lecture this week or you may choose a different set of processes that you have experience with as a project manager.

In your paper, it is imperative that you support and defend the processes you choose as to how they are the best fit and best practices for your project.

The assignment submission should be 750 words of text. A minimum of two external sources must be used in conjunction with the course materials. Only one may be found on the internet (not Wikipedia). The other must be found in the Grantham University online library. Please use the correct APA format consistently throughout this assignment. Only the body of the paper will count towards the page requirement. Please include a title page.

Executive summery

As a business continues growing, it becomes very necessary for expansion across differently counties to serve different clients. For a firm that is highly growing, a number of offices that is limited may not be typically adequate given the high number of assets and personnel. Therefore to keep such a business running, the workers need reliable and a faster means of sharing information across the firm’s network .With the help of the modern networking technologies, a firm can install some networks so that all of the workers and clients within different offices can share information easily and instantaneously.

Purpose

The purpose of this project presentation is to perform a preparation of a summary of the project for J Smith and associates which is about to open a new office branch in Arizona, Scottsdale and will plan on the telecommunications for connection of the new division to other remote divisions throughout the counties. This telecommunication project will offer the best benefits in terms of increment of the communication availabilities, improving the efficiencies of the business and increasing the speed if communications .

Telecommunication project presentation

The basic role of the telecommunication networks is for the purpose of providing set communications between two locations which have been spatially separated (Saint & Saint, 2013). In the case of this firm a telecommunication network needs to be set up to enhance communication between different branches within the counties as well as the communication within the new plant itself.

Requirements

1. Telecommunication networks

One of the tasks that is required for the purpose of meeting the needs of the client is to provide an estimate of the materials needed to complete the project as well as the choices available .Some of the choices available are the use of the internet communication ,telephony networks ,global telex networks as well as the aeronautical ACARS networks (Saint & Saint, 2013). In all telecommunications, there must be computer networks. The computer networks will need to be set between the new buildings from the first floor to the third floor. This will enable the transfer of the information form one device to another .Local network will need to be established which will help to share files within the same building (clint, 2015) .Moreover, new internet network will need to be set up. The access to the internet network will allow different users to make use of the many available resources .Within this firm, the network will ensure that users are able to discover instant information and apply it to different situations .In addition, the internet will be used for the purpose of servicing the clients as well as the purposes of research .

Moreover, a telephone network will need to be set in place which will also be used for making fast communications in a variety of ways .The main purpose that it will serve is that it will be used to rout different calls towards different firms as well as to different customers. The new branch will have a private branch exchange which will be used for the purpose of routing such calls.

2. Efficient topologies

The other step will be building on the topologies. In this case a backbone will need to be chosen as the spine of the networks for the local networks. This backbone will integrate all of the local area networks in cohesive structures which will facilitate the communications between the different segments as shown below

3. Wired and wireless technologies

For the purpose of allowing for the communication between the new branch and other branches, several options will be considered such as use of the GPRS /GPS communications or even the use of the fiber optic communication .However, the best option will be to deploy wireless technologies such as 4G LTEs which will serve across different cellular locations in all of the branches in different counties. In addition, an XO protocol which will connect the back bone of the fiber optic and inside offices within firm. The use of the Verizon and Metromedia fiber networks will help enhance the scalability and the redundancy of the networks (clint, 2015). While the scalability is the ability of network designs to have all of the network requirements, the redundancy is the ability of networks to fail at the secondary path when a primary path is cut or experiences some hardware failures.

Conclusion

This project presentation was aimed at performing a preparation of a summary of the project for J Smith and associates which is about to open a new office branch in Arizona, Scottsdale and will plan on the telecommunications for the connection of the new division to other remote divisions throughout the counties.
